    Installing and using your eSIM

    1. 1. Install at home

      Installing adds the eSIM to your phone. Scan the QR code from your email while you’re on Wi-Fi in New Zealand or Australia — you need an internet connection to install it.

    2. 2. Connect when you land

      In Tonga, set the eSIM as your mobile data line and turn on data roaming for the eSIM line. Keep data roaming off on your usual SIM to avoid charges from your home carrier.

    3. 3. Check your plan dates

      Installing the eSIM and starting your plan aren’t the same thing. If your travel dates are tight, contact us before you buy to confirm when your plan’s validity starts.

    Can I buy eSIMs for everyone I'm travelling with?

    Can I pay in NZD or AUD?

    Yes. Choose NZD or AUD in the currency selector above the plans. Your cart and checkout keep that currency, and you're charged in it.

    Do Tonga plans include calls or texts?

    No. They're data-only plans with no phone number. Use apps such as WhatsApp or FaceTime to call over data.

    What if my plans change and I don't travel?

    Refunds are available for eSIMs that haven't been installed or activated when you ask within 7 days of purchase. Activated or partly used plans can't be refunded. See the refund conditions in our Terms.
